Welcome
to
the
Saint
Street
Swim
parent/child
program.
We
are
happy
that
you
have
chosen
us
for
your
toddler's
discovery
experience
in
the
water.
Our
experienced
instructors
will
lead
you
and
your
child
through
a
variety
of
drills
and
games
to
acclimate
your
child
to
the
water.
1.
Please
enter
the
water
safely
at
the
appropriate
time.
Enter
the
water
only
on
invitation
of
the
instructor,
placing
your
child
on
the
deck
first
and
using
the
hand
rail
to
steady
yourself.
2.
Relax
and
smile.
Your
relaxed
voice,
arms
and
expressions,
will
aid
your
child
to
swim
with
confidence.
Be
positive
and
always
praise
your
child.
If
you
are
confident,
chances
are
your
child
will
be
also.
3.
Stay
with
the
class.
Your
instructor
is
trained
to
maximize
your
time
in
the
water.
Even
if
your
child
is
accustomed
to
a
wide
variety
of
water
activities,
stay
with
the
class.
Let
us
introduce
our
tried
and
proven
methods
to
your
child.
You
will
be
amazed
how
fast
your
child
starts
swimming
like
a
champ.
4.
Be
consistent.
Consistency
is
important
to
our
program.
Our
best
swimmers
at
Saint
Street
Swim
have
been
very
regular
about
their
lessons.
The
class
focuses
on
water
safety,
water
adjustment,
body
positioning,
submersion,
body
movement
in
water,
games,
songs
and
a
happy
foundation
for
swimming
that
we
hope
your
child
will
remember
for
years
to
come.
The
considerations
listed
here
will
enhance
the
experience
you
and
your
toddler
have
in
the
water.
We
feel
that
swim
lessons
taken
over
a
long
period
of
time
rather
than
a
blitz
of
a
few
lessons
works
better
for
the
swimmers.
In
your
class
you
will
learn
safety
techniques
to
use
around
the
pool.
Practice
these
rules
at
the
Saint
Street
Swim
pool
and
while
you
are
visiting
other
pools.
5. Bring your child to class
healthy and in 2 swim diapers.
For
the consideration of everyone, please make sure that your child
is wearing 2 snug fitting swim diapers. One disposable and one
non-disposable available at here at Saint Street Swim. If you suspect
that your child needs a change, please remove him or her from the
pool immediately. Please do not bring your child to class if he
or she has a fever or might be contagious.
6.
Be
patient.
Your
child's
progress
may
be
slow
and
steady,
or
fast.
Many
children
need
a
short
period
of
one
or
two
classes
to
one
or
two
sessions
to
acclimate
to
our
unique
pool
environment.
Your
instructor
will
be
perfectly
comfortable
with
your
child
during
this
time.
Consistency
and
regular
attendance
will
go
far
toward
putting
your
child
at
ease.
7.
Stay
with
your
child
in
and
out
of
the
water.
If
you
wish,
you
may
use
the
blue
bench
at
the
end
of
the
pool
to
change
your
child.
Please
supervise
your
child
at
all
times.
